 Fall/Winter/Spring Programs

NEW PROGRAM!

YA CLUB for grades 7-12

Young adults will meet once a month to enjoy and participate in a variety of activities ranging from fun, social get-togethers to community interaction programs. The YA CLUB will meet the 4th Monday of every month from 7:00-8:00 pm. So, if you like to hang around with people your own age, eat snacks and have fun come join the YA CLUB.

 

YA CLUB Activities: 

Sept. 27th-B3 (Banned Book Bingo)-

Come celebrate Banned Books Week by making your own B3 card. Refreshments and prizes provided.

 

Oct. 25th-"The Fearless" Halloween Party-

Are you not afraid of ANYTHING? Come and participate in a variety of contests and see who will be "The Fearless" winner.

 

Nov. 22nd-Fashions for the Holidays-

Interested in fashion design or not, come try and create fashionable clothing and/or jewelry using trash bags, duct tape, material scraps and more. Special guest will bring in anime costume creations.

 

Dec. 13th-Karaoke Christmas-

Fun and games to celebrate the Holidays. Bring a grab bag gift (limit $5) and your favorite holiday dessert. Also, bring your singing voice for holiday karaoke.

 

Jan. 24th-College/Career Prep-

Whether you're in 7th grade or graduating from high school, now is the time to think about your college plans. Special guest speaker will explain career choices, college application process and FAFSA (financial aid).

 

Feb. 28th-Music Memory-

How well do you know music? Come play Music Memory. Win prizes!

 

March 28th-Art/Poetry Appreciation-

Are you an artist or do you prefer writing poetry? Bring your art work and/or poems to be viewed by your peers. Special guest artist from Union Street Gallery.

 

April 25th-Ice Cream Social Finale-

This will be the last YA CLUB event before the Summer Reading Program begins. Join us for ice cream and a movie.

Special time-6:30-8:30

The Listening Station
 
With funds from a gracious donation by the Carlson family in memory of Samantha Carlson, matched by the library, we were able to purchase a listening station for the teen area. Every week, three CDs are featured for teen listening pleasure. Come listen!
