In the Lobby
This month's lobby display.
We have asked our presenters to tell us a little about
why they do what they do and what they are hoping you will see, through
their display. This month’s display features:
South Suburban Genealogical and Historical Society (SSGHS)
SSGHS is located nearby in Hazel Crest in the west end of the municipal center building at 3000 W. 170th Place.
Our focus is genealogy and history, particularly the south suburban region (southern Cook County and eastern Will County).
We hold monthly meetings on the second Saturday (February through November). The meetings cover genealogical and historical subjects.
We also maintain a non-circulating reference library of approximately 14,000 books, which is open to the public.
SSGHS is open 24 hours per week. If you are looking for help exploring your family roots or local history, come visit us. There is a $3 daily charge for non-members.
-- If you have a collection you would like to display, please contact Debbie at 708-798-0121 ext. 278. --
