Outreach Services
The Adult Services staff provides Outreach Service to patrons who are unable to come into the library.
Outreach Service
If you’re unable to come into the library, you can still enjoy all the library has to offer, because we’ll bring it to you! The Outreach Service fills either a permanent or short-term need by delivering and picking up all kinds of library materials at a prearranged time. To be eligible, you must be a Homewood / East Hazel Crest resident and be either: physically handicapped; recovering from surgery; a senior who can’t get to the library; or unable to maintain normal activity due to a chronic illness.
Unable to come in yourself, but have someone who can pick up your library materials? We can still provide personalized service for you. We’ll collect your choices and have them waiting when your delivery person stops in.
Regardless of whether someone picks up your choices or we're delivering them to you, just let us know what type of materials you’d like to have. Your selections can include fiction and non-fiction books (in regular-size type and in large print, as well), audiobooks, movies on DVD or VHS, and music CDs. We can also place holds for materials that Homewood doesn't own or that haven't been released yet.
If you are interested in Outreach Service, please contact Adult Services at (708) 798-0121.
